Prepare your home for photography
A little preparation helps the photographs communicate the home clearly and lets the session run smoothly.
Clear the visual clutter
Put away loose cables, countertop appliances, toiletries, bins, and personal paperwork. Keep decor simple so the rooms remain the focus.
Make the light work
Clean windows where practical, open appropriate blinds, and replace nonworking bulbs. Agree with the photographer which lights should be on during the session.
Plan the exterior
Tidy entryways and outdoor seating, move vehicles away from the front elevation, and put away hoses and garden equipment.
Leave time for a final walkthrough
